The Department of Fine Arts including all Art and Communication majors are anxiously waiting for the opening of their new home, Reece hall. This building has been completely renovated from its long service as a U.S. Post Office. It will now accommodate all students and faculty involved in the Art and Communication Studies majors. Before, Art had a only hallway in Elliot hall, mostly classrooms for theBusiness department. Communication Studies did not have any equipment or facilities to call their own.
The opening and ribbon cutting of the building is scheduled for October 8, and will now provide a home-base for these two majors.
The addition of this new building will help these two majors to get the hands-on learning experience with the new media and art equipment in the space provided. The building is a needed addition to helping our campus grow and become a better place for all students, faculty, and staff at Tennessee Wesleyan University.
